This is a five star performance. Without doubt our best performance of pre season. Not only is it 3-0 but all 3 goals have been nothing short of beautiful. Kinsky looks so assured as always. Gray & Robertson are so comfortable in possession at fullback. Had my criticisms over Robertson this pre season but today he was top. Incredible assist for Richarlison to make it 1-0. Senesi & Van Hecke are exactly how I imagined them to be as a defensive partnership. Top quality on the ball, feel so safe with them. Always looking for the smart pass. Tonali & Bergvall have been almost faultless in the pivot. Tonali's contribution for the first goal was world class. Can't believe people tried saying it was a bad signing. Bergvall's future should no longer be a debate, his pre season has been so impressive & he genuinely looks like a brand new version of himself. Honestly my MOTM today, even over Mikey & Mathys. And as a wing pairing Mathys Tel & Mikey Moore have been top. 2 unbelievable assists made from Tel which Mikey put away impressively both times. Remember, this is Mikey out of position too. I'm so excited for the De Zerbi project. COYS

Review from the stadium, wow. So proud of this team. The fight they gave was unreal, against Europe's best team too, is even more impressive. AND to add we were missing 5 first team players, whereas they had their FULL team on the pitch. Despite the result, I feel nothing but positivity from this team. The George Hemmings and Ian Maatsen partnership was absolutely unreal. Brian Madjo an absolute tank. Kamara and Gomes were absolutely brilliant. Bizot even, fantastic. The positive adjectives for each and every player are limitless. I'm so proud of this team. May this be the beginning of a great era under the great Unai Emery. We love him to bits, we wouldn't change him for anyone. I hope we've proved a lot of doubters wrong, once again. The ceiling of this team is only held back by the PL's dodgy rules. Quick word on the referees, awful. But enough about them. This is about Aston Villa 💜💙 Congratulations to PSG, it was a great game. May we meet again 🙂‍↕️ UP THE FUCKING VILLA!!!

With the way things are looking we'll have a top 10 defence, a top 5 midfield, and a bottom 5 attack (bar tel cause he was good) Tonali, bergvall, gray, van hecke, all brilliant, their passing made me feel erotic simply because god it has been so long since we had a midfield (alongside van hecke) that could MOVE like that, against a lowblock team too???? Tel looked dangerous, lots of good passes and that cross to richarlison was amazing, but STILL, this game brutally shows how badly we need attacking signings (especially a 10 imo, given that maddison is too high of a risk injury wise to rely on until xavi is back, same idea with kulusevski). Overall considering its getafe im content, shows how much potential we have IF we sign some proper attackers, whoever they may be. Can't wait to see porro vdv kudus and fernandes back as well.

Kind of late for this review because of traveling in Barcelona, but here we are after 3 days... I attended a watchparty near the hotel that I'm staying at and boy oh boy what an experience it was! The atmosphere was immaculate. Got called Cucurella countless of times by a lot of guys over here because of my long, curly hair (no offence taken haha). The interactions were amazing as if you knew them a long time and the people were so welcoming which made the experience even better. Everytime Trump would come on screen, everyone booed loudly towards him (including myself) and chanted 'Viva Palestina' as if it couldn't get better haha. What was funny about this match is that everytime Argentina made a foul, everyone started to cheer as if the game was won, let alone that red card lmao haha. The final itself was very good imo, excluding that halftime show 🙄, but the match itself was very tense and nail-biting to watch. Both sides played very good at their strengths. Argentina with their brick wall of a defense and Spain just controling and dominating the whole match. If it wasn't for Emi Martinez, Argentina would've conceded so many goals. At last can't forget about the most important moment of the match: the winning goal from none other than Ferran Torres the SHARK!!! So happy for him, he deserves this moment after everything he has gone through. The whole crowd erupted, fireworks were lit, beer thrown all over the place, Spain flags all waving in the air. This was truely beauty in chaos... During this final I lost my voice, whole body was sweaty asf, my feet totally bruised up and my spine couldn't hold it anymore from standing the whole match. Loved every single second of this experience. This city is truly magical. Its people, the culture, the weather, just so many things are amazing. I feel extremely lucky to have experienced such a big event in Barcelona out of all places haha. Truly a dream come true... Thank you football and thank you Bookd community ❤️

The world cup final is over. This tournament has been incredible, and this community has made it far more enjoyable. Thank you to everyone who has played a part in this incredible community. I have loved posting my penguin GIF throughout the tournament. Thank you for making posting a short clip of a penguin kicking a ball infront of a second tier spanish side's badge special. I was born in Sutton on October 7th, 2006. Just under two years later my brother was born, and a year after that we moved to South-West London, where I have lived ever since. I may not be a Castellon fan, but I am an Arsenal fan, like my brother and my parents. We sit and watch all of the matches together, unless we're at the Emirates. I was introduced to Bookd by my brother. I saw him talking on this app and it looked intriguing, so I asked him what the app was, and I downloaded it. Thank you, @elz , for introducing me to Bookd. I found the penguin GIF simply by typing "football" into the GIFs tab. I am unable to recreate this. Perhaps it was fate that I found that GIF. I am 19 years old, and entering the second year of my Games Design university course at my University in central london. I have always had a passion for games. I hope to one day unite my passions for game creation and for football. If anyone wishes to check out my work, play my newest, and by far my best game, Leviathan, at https://spitefulcurb43.itch.io/leviathan . I will continue posting my penguin GIF throughout matches, but expect me to speak actual words from time to time in the Bookd chat. This community is excellent, and recently I have been wondering what will happen after this tournament ends. I have decided we need a Discord server. Everyone is welcome to join. Here is the link: https://discord.gg/Y9Yf7NHBe Once again, thank you to Bookd's developers, community, and most of all, thank you to the gimmicks. I will be able to answer any questions you may have in the replies. And now, for the last time this WC:

Today, my dog Ellie turned 9, so this is how we spent her birthday. First, we went through the Dunkin drive-thru to get a bacon eggs and cheese wrap. Then, she got a mani/pedi and some big ass treats. Next, she eviscerated the stuffed elephant she got as a present. Finally, a roast beef dinner and sleeping through this snoozefest of a game. Five stars and POTM for her.

I view games like this as a matter of perspective. Of course, we would all love every team to play inspiring and passionate but sportsmanlike football like Cabo Verde. Unfortunately, not every team is as interested in playing attractive football and some simply want to win at any cost. Paraguay are one of those types of teams. I have to say I was entertained by the shithousery, but of course I question the integrity of the sport if teams play like this consistently. A large part of the game is mental, which it’s obvious that Paraguay understands. The bigger question in my mind comes down to over if it is cunning or if it is simply unsportsmanlike. Maybe it’s both, but I’m not entirely sure how you can control what players say to each other on the pitch without it being a total overstep and preventing players from expressing emotion. Emotion is what makes the game special. I don’t want it to be policed in the game and I’m sure most people agree with that sentiment. With that being said, nobody wants the game to devolve to this, where such clear acts of provocation go unpunished. There has to be a balance somewhere and I’m curious what everyone else thinks about this issue.

Fuck man… we were so close. We played so much better this match than any other match I’ve seen, but our attack is still just so weak. Had to defend and play around the back for most of the game and just play for penalties really, we defended well with a couple goal line clearances but unfortunately it wasn’t enough. We were too complacent so were punished with a great late strike. Still surprised we even got here in the first place so I guess I’ll take it. Some players can go out with their heads held high; Williams, Modiba and Mbokazi have all been great. Especially Mbokazi who deserves a big move he’s absolutely class. But yea very sad but I saw it coming, I did predict a Canada win after all.

Might be a 2 part review just to share enough pics and vids. From getting a stack of free cups to seeing Lamine score his first career World Cup goal. I will remember every moment of today. Being at a World Cup match reminded me how much this sport has done for me. It’s brought me out of depression during heartbreak, it’s given me depression through heartbreak (Barca) but I wouldn’t trade any of it for the world. Seeing the world come together for one month is beautiful we forget our personal troubles and anything our governments are doing to try and keep us apart. That’s why I love this beautiful sport. If you’re in the area of anything World Cup related I urge you to go have a great time and meet some new people. Doesn’t matter if your country isn’t playing this sport makes us feel and when you’re feeling you’re living.

(Sorry for literally posting this over a day after the match, I got distracted) WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!! The atmosphere was incredible, Americans, Canadians, and Germans were so friendly and LIVED UP THE VIBE 🔥🔥❤️!! The scenes after the match were ridiculous, I can’t even try to explain the pure emotions and joy every German, German-American/Canadian, and just German supporter felt after the late goal. The roar was louder than most I’ve heard before, COMEEE ONN DEUTSCHLANDDD! 🇩🇪🦅. We stayed on the streets for an hour after the match, just chanting, having beers, and celebrating our RO32 bypass. We all got beer thrown all over us, but I sure did not care, I got one of the main guy back anyways, down 11Eu but who cares 😂🇩🇪🇩🇪 The beginning of the match had one of the best atmospheres I’ve ever heard, and the ending was even better! We didn’t play the best, but all that matters is we got the win, I got some beer, and I got to meet so many amazing Canadians and Americans who were supporting Germany! I literally cannot speak from how loud I was yelling when that second goal went in! I’m sure you all saw how crazy we went on the livestream, it was ridiculous, loud, and I hope to be able to do this again. Truly, anyone who can afford a World Cup ticket, even if it’s in the future, do it. If you truly want to, do it, the experience will stay with you for a lifetime. LONG LIVE GERMANYYYY RO32 🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪 The shear amount of German flags I saw was incredible. I want to say 90% of the stadium was German supporters, and you could TELL after the goals. The roar, my voice is mostly lost today from the yelling I was doing, and I don’t regret it ONE BIT. P.S: Take that all of our doubters ;) (We are getting knocked out in round of 32) 🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪🦅🦅🦅

Alriiiiiight here we are. A game i looked forward to since its one of those games that really makes you feel its the world cup. It did not live up to those expectations at all though, after some time of thinking about it this is the worst game ive watched in 2026, i watch so much football every week from random youth games to random leagues to top 5 leagues, but this game is just the epitome of awful. Cant even say the defenders were good because they werent, attackers were shit whenever they finally had a chance, midfielders were lucky if a progressive pass arrived. That 95th minute goal changed nothing what I thought about this because for the first time in months i felt genuinely bored out of my mind. And than the worst part of all? The ref doubling the injury time for whatever reason, we did NOT need 12 minutes extra. Happy for Yirenkyi though, only 20 years and a big talent so this is massive. Will add Yirenkyi as man of the match but no one deserved it to be honest.
