Second game of the season, I am alr so fucking tired of this team 😭😭😭
Barcelona2 - 0Athletic Club
Good solid game, unlucky a lot but enough to win. Athletic aren't much atm but I liked their French defender! Pedri phenomenal. Love when he is in the mood to be mean. Xavi very good again! (other than almost killing Laporte). On top of everything that Xavi shot was... Woah Rapha might be the answer for a 9 atl in the league. Gordo and Karim hardworking, unlucky in the box. Fermíni is such a gremlin, love him Lamine is struggling with shooting but created so much too. Frustrating for him but he'll get out of it soon enough Berni will benefit from Rodri a lot. Hard-working in defense and had a couple moments offensively but struggling in the build-up. Backline solid again, Eric García hottest man alive. Also look at these two crazy pumpkins. Rodri is getting into it but loved the moment when he fucked up and cleared the ball with his head in the box.
Barcelona
Elche0 - 5BarcelonaDid I like what I saw? No. But it's the first win of the season with 5 goals and a lot of players fresh of the WC. It did help us a lot that Elche are a mess and couldn't hold the intensity. What I liked: Karim and Gordo getting good starts, Xavi balling out, Fermín getting his confidence up fresh into the season (thank you, Anthony 😊). Both Andreas and Gerard did very well, 11 and 13 def. contributions respectively. Eric and Joan being hot defensive husbands. Bernal did better than people will give him credit for but still needs mama Pedri next to him. What I disliked: the midfield without Pedri (what's new?), Gavi overdoing it and life kicking him back. Lamine playing when he is still not 100% seemingly. They were intense, yes, but pressing as a whole was shit. Xavi covered up some of Karim's passing issues. Barça will rump up a lot for their next game both in starters and game quality. Good to start the season with a win. The level of La Liga so far is concerning, though.
BarcelonaValencia0 - 0Celta Vigo
Sadiq dribbling was worth watching this. The team's brains stop working the second Javi is tired. Need more quality in offense. Guido capitán.

Uruguay0 - 1SpainUnderwhelming. Spain's first half was a disaster with players feeling disconnected and not up to their usual level. The speed was shit again. Truly don't understand what all those crosses were for. Got lucky with a goal but thank god Alex is a hater at heart and we have Pedri. Once the game opened up a little, Uruguay went out to play extremely dirty, more so than in the first half. Ref sucked. But what concerned me more was still the lack of coherency. Especially between the forwards, it felt like they were playing in 3 separate games. Cucu and Llorente were nonexistent. I am not convinced by this performance on the collective and the individual level too as well as the tactical work of the training staff. Oyarzabal and Rodri need to seriously rethink what they are doing. Dani has to start. Preventable injury crisis on the left with not much hope for width needed for Lamine in the knockout stages. Pau Cubarsi is the best CB in the world at 19.
